At East Hill
it’s easy to be reminded of all of the things for which we have to be thankful.
Last week Mrs. Causer, along with the third grade chorus, presented
this month’s character education trait which is thankfulness. The students
talked about what they were thankful for, and sang a song about thankfulness. Every
student in the building is contributing to a mural that shows what they are
thankful for.
I am
thankful that I get to work with such great students and families. I’m also
thankful that I get to work with such a wonderful staff each and every day,
many of whom gave up their time to present at last night’s Parent Math Night.
Thank you to everyone who attended. We hope you found the night to be
informative and worthwhile. For those of you that were unable to attend, there
are many resources available on our website for parents.
Our first
ever 5th grade Student Council is up and running. Students will
begin by leading “Fit Fridays” in each of the classrooms starting in December.
They have met and brainstormed a lot of ideas for making our school and
community a better place this year.
Please
remember that next Monday and Tuesday are half-days for parent conferences.
Students will be dismissed at 11:30. Enjoy your Thanksgiving!
