Enrichment Day a Success!
This past Saturday over 240 East Hill students attended Enrichment Day. That's about two-thirds of the total student population! Students were able to participate in two different classes, from crafting and cooking to football and mining! Thank you to Mrs. Coleman and Mrs. Yeager for coordinating this wonderful event for our students; it is quite an undertaking! Thank you also to everyone that volunteered their time in one way or another. A great day was had by all!

Love is in the Air
This week's P2 character strength focus is love. Love means you value close relationships with others and value being close to people. Love is imperative to an individual's happiness and fulfillment in life. On a group level, love is vital for the well being of society. For more on this character strength, click here.

Valentine's Parties
Valentine's parties will begin at 2:15 on Friday. As with all classroom parties, only those people who have been contacted by the room parents should plan to attend. Students in nut-free classrooms should not have treats attached to their Valentine's and all food in those classrooms should come with a label that can be checked by the teacher and/or nurse. Thank you for your assistance!

February Break
There is no school next week, 2/17 through 2/21. School will resume on Monday, 2/24.

I Forgive You

Forgiveness
This week's character strength focus is forgiveness. Forgiveness is the ability to move past being injured and accept that people make mistakes. Admittedly, it is not one of my top strengths but I am working on it! For a one-page overview on this strength, click here.

Griffin's Guardians Change for Hope Campaign
We are about half way through this campaign and our change bucket is about half full! Thank you so much for reminding your child to bring in loose change for this organization. Griffin's Guardians helps children and their families with financial assistance, provides laundry supplies to Golisano Hospital for families being treated as inpatient and provides funding for pediatric cancer research. Education Fair
The 7th annual Education Fair will be held on March 24th this year. Students received applications that they need to complete as soon as possible. Students can either complete a science project or a reading project. Click here for a short video that contains more information as well as some pictures from last year's projects. Kindergarten Registration
Kindergarten registration has begun for the 2020-2021 school year. These students will be the graduating class of 2033! Wow! Registration will begin on December 3, 2019 and will go until March 31, 2020 at the Central Registrar Office located at 300 Sanderson Drive, Camillus, NY 13031. For information about registering your student, go to the Registration Section of the website. Prior to coming in to register, you will need to make an appointment by clicking the appropriate link on the Registration web page or by calling the Central Registrar at (315) 487-4683.
